You&#8217;re here but you&#8217;re not, and you&#8217;re pretty much convinced that you&#8217;ve forgotten something. That you&#8217;re going to get on the plane and realize in a flash that you&#8217;ve left your paperwork behind or some crazy thing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Of course everything always works out fine, but the 24 hours leading up to boarding is a strange journey indeed.<\/p>\n<p>Especially this time. Having been home for two months you kind of adjust to the idea of a life shore-side, not so much in the sense of &#8220;I want to stay&#8221; but in the sense of &#8230;.just getting used to a different kind of routine.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a lot like opening night, the same kind of jitters&#8230;the same kind of nerves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;And the same kind of excitement&#8230;!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The last day before leaving for a contract always feels somewhat strange.
