\"Jazzsinger\"<\/a>The name Toni Warne meant nothing to me when I first heard it. I knew she\u2019d been on television, but since I purposely don\u2019t follow reality TV (I haven\u2019t even watched Dancing with the Stars for ages now) I\u2019m rather out of the loop when it comes to who\u2019s won what. But I did meet her, and she turned out to be a lovely person, but as usual, whether I went to the show or not was probably going to depend on how I felt after shift and a myriad variety of other factors. Until I was sitting with Amras and Alasse at dinner last night,<\/p>\n

Sis, you have to come to the show tonight<\/i><\/p>\n

Considering that in three seasons of working with you you\u2019ve never told me that I guess I\u2019ll be there\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

Whoa\u2026was my big brother ever right.<\/p>\n

Every so often a guest ent show comes along that is the perfect combination of amazing charts, great musicians and a killer headliner.\u00a0 Even more rarely than that, a show comes along that meshes all those elements into something that is greater than the individual components, and the energy that pours off the stage is like plugging yourself into an amplifier.<\/p>\n

This one? This one goes to 11 mate\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

This one definitely<\/i> went to 11.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to see a lot<\/i> of amazing performers during my time on ships, especially since I\u2019m lucky enough to do the GWV where we feature big name headliner entertainers. It\u2019s been a long time since I\u2019ve been able to get an adrenaline buzz from a show that I\u2019m not actually performing in. That takes something special, something nearly chemical, that exists in only the best performances out there. The last time I truly experienced it was when I saw Doc Severson play two seasons ago, and lo and behold, I got it last night.<\/p>\n

There are times when I consider myself truly blessed to be where I am in my life, and my career. Then there are times when my life simply hands me precisely what I need on a platter and it\u2019s something beyond blessed, its\u2019 as if the universe is saying \u2018hey, I know you\u2019ve had it rough, here this\u2019ll make you feel better\u2019.<\/p>\n

This was one of those nights.<\/p>\n
