\"SakiFairy\"<\/a>The Grand Pacific Voyage on the flagship officially started day before yesterday. My baby is sailing without me, in the competent hands of someone else, whom I am willing myself to trust (which is surprisingly difficult as I find I\u2019m not a very trusting person when it comes to \u2018my\u2019 library.) honestly until now I hadn\u2019t really thought about how much I\u2019ve invested in the flagship; but she\u2019s owned my life for five seasons now (two grand voyages, three world cruises) and I\u2019ve put a lot of blood sweat and tears into her. Being away from her now feels \u2026odd. Not \u2018bad\u2019 per say, I\u2019m still really enjoying myself here, and I\u2019m thoroughly convinced that Head Office made the right call in insisting that I take a sabbatical, but odd none the less.<\/p>\n

Its strange how attached we get to places; I suppose it comes down to the fact that there is comfort in routine. She\u2019s dramatic and over-theatrical and heaven knows she puts me through more stress than she\u2019s worth, but the flagship is none-the-less home. Or at least she sometimes feels like the closest thing to a home that I have out here.<\/p>\n

And yet, I don\u2019t really miss her. It\u2019s true that my hours here are longer (particularly now that Shadow\u2019s gone) but they are less high-strung. That said, I suspect a great deal of my current state of mind is to do with the fact that I basically have family on board which always does my mental balance good.<\/p>\n

Never the less, I\u2019ve done all I can for the flagship this season, she\u2019s as prepped as she\u2019ll ever be, and at least I know now that the main harddrive wasn\u2019t wiped out like I thought it was, so I have to allow myself to dust my hands of her until December.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, we\u2019re entering into the \u2018last\u2019 stage of the season on my current ship \u2018last\u2019 Venice, \u2018last\u2019 costume ball, \u2018last\u2019 greek port\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
