\"gil-elvgren-pin-up-girls-gallery-16-9\"<\/a>In the spirit of keeping everyone in the loop I want to honestly apologize for the vast amount of space in between updates this season. I know I \u2018talked\u2019 a lot<\/i> during my summer contract and by contrast I must seem pretty silent these days. Rest assured \u2013 the blog isn\u2019t going anywhere, I\u2019m only quiet at the moment because there honestly is less to talk about!<\/p>\n

The first half of the contract I mostly stayed in, the gremlins in the system made things awfully stressful and downright exhausting for everyone involved and it wasn\u2019t until we \u2013 with the massive assistance of a lot of brilliantly determined people \u2013 chased the last of the nasty blighters out of the clockwork that we even started to feel the knots in our shoulders unclench.<\/p>\n

To put things in perspective: that was just before Hong Kong! Therefore, it\u2019s only recently that I\u2019ve really had the focus or the energy to do much at all! At times like that it\u2019s usually best to just hunker down and hibernate until the worst of it passes, so that\u2019s precisely what I proceeded to do \u2013 wrapped myself in my seal skin and hid from the world \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Also contributing is the fact that we really do have a great many sea days on this cruise, and while sea days are busy busy busy (\u201churry hurry hurry till we\u2019re done!\u201d indeed!) they don\u2019t tend to leave much to report that\u2019s of interest to the outside world!<\/p>\n

But now, the second half of the cruise is in full swing, the ports are a smidge closer together and the days are starting to blur together in that blast of colour that means things are going well, so I may find myself a bit more loquacious in the coming weeks\u2026<\/p>\n

In the meantime, I continue to wish you fair winds and following seas\u2026<\/p>\n
