\"Laguna_de_noche_by_ELENADUDINA\"<\/a>It occurred to me this morning that I really have no idea how large my reading base is, I know a lot of you follow the links through from Facebook, most of you are family, all of you are friends \u2013 close or not, but I don\u2019t know how many of you there are. Whatever the answer, there is something I at least need to attempt to explain, perhaps for my own sake as much as for your benefit.<\/p>\n

I know that over the years I\u2019ve been keeping these pages, it is often the case that my summer contracts are the most prolific writing-wise. The World Cruise leads to more exotic ports and more historical interest, but I write less, whereas my summer contracts are usually brimming over with coffee chatter, sunshine, the occasional glass of red wine, and a whole lot of music. Compared to the normal standard, I know I\u2019ve been terribly well \u2013 quiet \u2013 this summer. There is a possibility that it might seem that I\u2019m talking around<\/em> something. \u2018Tis true, I am. There are big things going on in my little \u2018Pack\u2019 right now, which \u2013 because the Pack is what it is \u2013 ripple out and impact my life. Someone very near and very dear to me is going through something highly difficult, and by the very nature of my \u2018mamma wolf\u2019 tendencies, that draws me in from the fringes. The wagons circle, so to speak. But the thing is, while it\u2019s affecting<\/em> me \u2013 it\u2019s not mine<\/em> to discuss, or to reveal or to talk about at all.<\/p>\n

This has had the result of somewhat stemming my usual flow of words.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the easiest of things. Trimming out an entire situation and the resulting series of events leaves large gaps in everything \u2013 like the random holes that make up a child\u2019s paper snowflake. The summer is no less beautiful for those gaps, but there are times when I feel they\u2019re obvious.<\/p>\n

So for those that have noticed \u2013 and many of you may have not \u2013 I do apologize. It\u2019s not good, it\u2019s not bad; it\u2019s just the way things are just at the moment.<\/p>\n
