Logically I am aware that I\u2019m a smart woman and that if presented with a script I can memorize it with relative ease, but the truth is \u2013 I\u2019ve never stood behind a lectern at a time when it actually matters. And the new job? It involves a lot<\/em> of information.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure I can remember it all, and yet\u2026pages and pages and pages of talking points for a system I\u2019ve barely any experience with yet. I feel like if I started learning last year<\/em> I wouldn\u2019t have enough space in my head!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m up to my ears in operating system manuals, teacher\u2019s guides, instructional hand outs and powerpoint presentations, and I\u2019m peppering the current tech with questions what feels like every five minutes. I feel like I\u2019m in school again!<\/p>\n

But most of what I\u2019m learning to do is at least interesting. I\u2019m learning a lot more about photo manipulation than I realized I was going to for one thing! Which has led to a desire to do a pet project to practice on; but I\u2019ll need to find someone to help me take the basic photos (or I need to get a tripod). And the stuff is more delicate than it looks, I have this feeling that if I don\u2019t practice it, my outgoing projects are not going to look as neat as I\u2019d hoped they would. But I am learning the tricks of how to at least make them look presentable, for example, stitching together a panorama often requires cropping to make it come out right, and fusing together two photos has to be done with images of exactly the same size and angle\u2026<\/p>\n

and there’s so many bullet points! and instruction manuals! and user guides!<\/p>\n
