And no pollywog ever escapes judgement after all.<\/p>\n
We had already had to cancel the ceremony once yesterday because of the fact that it was pouring down rain (Neptune must have been crying), but thankfully today was bright and sunny.<\/p>\n
We had a healthy number of vile pollywogs to be sacrificed, all of whom put up a decent struggle. The ship\u2019s staff passed merciful judgement on most of them; although a few were consigned to bake on the side of the pool. Nothing like buttercream icing in the morning! Which is what the slime is actually composed of, something I actually didn\u2019t know until now\u2026<\/p>\n
Once \u00a0the last of the slime had been dumped over the unsuspecting heads of the last of the housekeeping department,\u00a0 the band started the playoff and the very very last of the slime ended up on us<\/em>.\u00a0 Which is, I suppose, only to be expected.<\/p>\n While we were play wrestling our fellow doctors and nurses into the pool to rinse off the sugary sweet coating that had ended up on us; the guests thronged around the huge fish to have their pictures taken\u2026and at least one of them decided it would be an excellent idea to \u201csacrifice\u201d himself by plunging headlong across the abandoned sacrificial tables. Unfortunately, the guests are not supposed to participate for a very good reason; we know what we\u2019re doing, and the rules of Neptune\u2019s game that allows us to play safely, the guests don\u2019t\u2026so hence\u2026he really shouldn\u2019t have ought-ta have done that. OF course it was nothing to do with me until he shoved me backwards into the pool. I wasn\u2019t hurt or anything but ending up in the water when you aren\u2019t<\/em> expecting it is rather not nice!<\/p>\n But y\u2019know, I had just doused about a dozen or so people with candy coated slime, so perhaps I kind of<\/em> deserved it.<\/p>\n And lo all those who were once pollywogs were granted a pardon, and went \u2018home\u2019 for a very well deserved very long warm shower, and our traveling home continued safely on our journey with Neptune\u2019s blessing.<\/p>\n All hail the king!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I have been rather deeply entrenched in my cave these days; little will draw me out.
