It has been days since I picked up Strange. Unless you count the few minutes I picked her up on my birthday, during with Amras was able to teach me a C chord (which would prove to be extremely necessary). I haven\u2019t dedicated any real practice time. Somehow, work kept getting in the way\u2026<\/p>\n
So today I finally ended up picking Strange up, tuning her properly, and sitting down with the guitar tab that I have been staring at and afraid of for about three weeks.<\/p>\n
I was going to do this dammit\u2026somehow I was going to do this.<\/p>\n
And low and behold\u2026an hour later? I could play and sing One Tin Solider<\/em>. I could play it very very slowly, and rather carefully, but faster than I ever thought possible considering that I couldn\u2019t even manage the first chord a few days ago. My fingers hurt, but my heart felt lighter\u2026that I could actually do<\/em> this. Could do it to the point where my fingers weren\u2019t<\/em> always thinking about the changes, where I can slip from a C to a G without looking at the fretboard\u2026<\/p>\n I can play a song\u2026<\/p>\n An actual proper song, not half of one, a whole one\u2026<\/p>\n I actually set my mind to something and did<\/em> it, just because I could..<\/p>\n And that?
