Amras and I have a weakness for what we have taken to calling \u2018pizza moments\u2019. The term comes from a comic strip called Catana Comics (if you haven\u2019t seen them check them out it\u2019s adorable) \u2013 and basically means we\u2019ll balk at spending $15 on silverware, but will gladly spend $20 on a large pizza. Perhaps not the best thing to have a habit of doing, and we try to watch our tendency towards it, but to our credit our \u201cpizza purchases\u201d tend to be things we\u2019ll actually keep rather than well\u2026real pizza.<\/p>\n
For example my usual strain of \u2018pizza moment\u2019 is the tours I still go on in port. Yes, they are expensive, but they are \u2013 after all \u2013 experiences that will last a life time. My lower quality \u2018pizza moments\u2019 tend towards less exotic things like brightly coloured clothes and crazy shoes. But I digress.<\/p>\n
Rarely, do Amras and I have a joint <\/em>pizza moment. So I was rather surprised when he got back from port this afternoon bearing \u2026.a PlayStation 3. Used of course, and acquired at a very good price. But\u2026definitely<\/em> a pizza moment.<\/p>\n A totally awesome<\/em> pizza moment.<\/p>\n Especially since I was stuck on IPM all day, and was exceptionally grumpy about it; and was all around having a rather \u2026lousy afternoon.<\/p>\n Especially since with<\/em> said system, he also got Call of Duty 4, Fallout 3, \u2026.and \u2026GOLF! Seriously, I have not played computer golf since I was a kid playing with my parents. I had totally forgotten how much fun it was\u2026and how completely addictive it could be.<\/p>\n I still\u2026definitely need to work on my swing. But by the end of the night hey, I had earned enough experience points to get myself a pretty awesome golfer outfit..<\/p>\n What?
