And just like that, my wedding dress is hanging in the hallway (because that\u2019s the only place it can hang without wrinkling) and I keep staring at it hanging there and thinking\u2026this is happening. Oh my dear lord this is really actually happening.<\/p>\n

To me. This is happening to me.<\/p>\n

Whereas we are about as ready as we will ever be, getting everyone else<\/em> to this wedding has been a bit of an adventure, one wrong city, two missed flights, and one set of delayed luggage\u2026well let\u2019s just say I hope that our loved ones have used up all their tricky travel luck!<\/p>\n

Multiple runs to the print shop, multiple phone calls and to hell with the budget because it\u2019s always<\/em> going to cost more than you think\u2026<\/p>\n

And for the most part by now? If it isn\u2019t done, it\u2019s probably not getting done.<\/p>\n

There are a few last things that need<\/em> doing, I have to put together the party favours, and pick up the flowers, and finish putting together the decorations for the tables. But those are all small things, and for the most part they are fun chores. Amras and I need to go to the venue this morning to time out my processional music to know where it needs to be trimmed (overtures are long pieces and I certainly don\u2019t need all 8 minutes).<\/p>\n

I can recite my vows for the most part without crying, but my processional music puts me into floods. Every time. But I guess that\u2019s why they invented waterproof mascara.<\/p>\n

Then there is one more thing that I have to face up to: My stage fright. Ever since I was small I have gotten crippling stage fright. Last night, was\u2026expected, but not precisely pleasant. As I sat with my knees nearly pulled to my chest feeling absolutely miserable, my Dad looked at me and shook his head\u2026<\/p>\n

Yup, every time\u2026opening night\u2019s coming\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

At one point I looked at my Mum and said\u2026<\/p>\n

But\u2026but I have to get up in front of people and say stuff!<\/em><\/p>\n

At which my mum laughed and said,<\/p>\n

You only have to say stuff to one person. No one else counts.<\/em><\/p>\n

I can do this\u2026I can do this\u2026<\/p>\n

If I don\u2019t faint first\u2026<\/p>\n
