So\u2026one quick hop flight from Victoria to Seattle, one night at a (very confusing) hotel, and\u2026here I be!<\/p>\n

Getting on that plane was hard this time. Amras and I have only been married just over a month, and leaving was not something I particularly wanted to do. Much as I\u2019m glad to be back at work \u2013 in the sense that I\u2019m doing something with myself, I\u2019m making money, and I do still \u2013 most of the time \u2013 enjoy what I do, especially since I\u2019m finally back on the flagship\u2026my heart is very lonely. I simply don\u2019t like being out here without him.<\/p>\n

But, it\u2019s only three months. I have a nice room (and the books I left here three years ago were still in the closet!!), I\u2019m on my favourite ship, and there are \u2013 because this is the flagship \u2013 a lot<\/em> of people I know here.<\/p>\n

And since this is the Alaska run, the people are \u2013 again for the most part \u2013 very nice. And for the few that aren\u2019t (though I haven\u2019t run into them yet) there\u2019s a lovely little reset button at the end of two weeks. They always go home!<\/p>\n

Lots of catch-up work to do though, as the systems need to be reimaged and the new computers installed, so I\u2019m sure that will take up a fair bit of my time.<\/p>\n

And when I\u2019m not doing that, I still have Tangled to work on, and I\u2019m trying very hard to level my character up in the other game I play (hey, everyone\u2019s got their hobbies!).<\/p>\n
