When one is stuck on the ship for a week due to a lack of a specific visa (don\u2019t worry this was expected and while annoying, will rectify itself in a few days), there is little for one to do when one is not working other than pursue hobbies.<\/p>\n
Regretfully I do not have Strange with me right now, a situation I think that I will change in a few days when I next call home. In the absence of being able to practice, I have instead finished at least one book, leveled up twice in Fallout 4 (though I still can\u2019t beat this one boss\u2026must get better Power Armor) and played more than my fair share of Candy Crush.<\/p>\n
And written home. A lot.<\/p>\n
Luckily for me, I am back on the flagship, which \u2013 if I have<\/i> to be somewhere that isn\u2019t home, is the best place for me to be. Every time I turn around here there is someone that I know. This evening I got caught up for almost an hour after the show chatting with guest entertainers who have been friends of Amras\u2019 and me for years and who neither one of us see often enough. Everyone<\/i> I run into wants to know about the wedding, so there have been a lot of photos shown around which has been awesome.<\/p>\n
But still, it\u2019s not home. Not really. The flagship is as close as I can get to home on the fleet, and I do still love her dearly \u2013 but \u2026she\u2019s still not home<\/i>.<\/p>\n
That said, the people are so far \u2013 lovely, and it\u2019s honestly quite refreshing to be on the Alaska run, Alaska always<\/i> helps clear my senses and balance my head, and heaven knows I need that right now. I may not always be crazy about what I do for a living (mostly because it pulls me away from home a lot, partly because it keeps me from having a dog!) but it does keep me focused and occupied and therefore unable to worry about any of the other things that potentially may be going on.<\/p>\n
All of which seems to be going well by the way. I\u2019ll perhaps post an update on all of that later.<\/p>\n
But for now, I\u2019m still loving the ring on my finger and everything it means, and I\u2019m vaguely excited to see what the Land of the Midnight Sun holds for me this season\u2026<\/p>\n
Even if it\u2019s only getting better armor for my Fallout character.<\/p>\n
