\"\"It has been a long long<\/i> time since I worked a charter. And I\u2019ve never worked a charter quite like this one. I knew my duties were going to be light, but I honestly wasn\u2019t anticipating a full blown vacation. Well, I\u2019m volunteering for a few things here and there, but for the most part? Not doing a thing. The most \u201cuseful\u201d thing I\u2019ve done so far is put together next cruise\u2019s schedule while I was sitting at the silent auction desk earlier today.<\/p>\n

Not only that, but the people running the charter, want those of us who are volunteering to blend in! So we\u2019re not even wearing uniforms!<\/p>\n

This is also a somewhat unusual group of people. For one thing, they are the most enthusiastic group I\u2019ve encounter in a really long time. And it\u2019s super refreshing to see an entire ship full of people who have seemingly completely put aside everything from petty disagreements to politics just for a week of having a good time. These people are here for the music, and to eat drink and be merry, plain and simple. And these days that is a pretty rare and awesome thing to see.<\/p>\n

Emotionally, that positivity is definitely doing me good. I\u2019m a little bit intimidated by the crowds, and the fact that these guys apparently start drinking at 9am! (seriously, these guys are serious about their party mode!) does scare me just a little bit\u2026but the over all energy<\/i> onboard is excellent, and while the guests are perhaps a little louder and more\u2026boisterous than usual, they\u2019re not\u2026the bad<\/i> kind of boisterous, everyone here just wants everyone else to have a good time\u2026and that is something that everyone in the world<\/i> right now needs a bit more of\u2026<\/p>\n
