First, Amras and I officially finished a massive project we\u2019ve been working on \u2013 more on that later- but second\u2026<\/p>\n
There are things that are small that seem big and things that are big that seem small.<\/p>\n
This was one of those little things, that\u2019s much bigger than it at first seems.<\/p>\n
Every night at 7:30pm all the ships at anchor in this area sound their whistles. Every night. Without fail. And every night they call on a different crew member to do it. It\u2019s not a lottery or anything, I\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019s just random selection, something as simple as who our cruise director happens to bump into at the right time.<\/p>\n
Tonight, I was standing in the cabin getting ready for something completely unrelated when Amras came almost bouncing back into the room.<\/p>\n
Please tell me that your camera is charged.<\/i><\/p>\n
Well..maybe\u2026I mean I think so\u2026I put it away because we weren\u2019t really using it anymore. <\/i><\/p>\n

Depends on what you want to do with it but yeah\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n
Guess what we\u2019re doing?<\/i><\/p>\n

We\u2019re sounding the horn tonight. We have five minutes before we have to be on the bridge.<\/i><\/p>\n
Once on the bridge the one of the officers showed us how the horn worked, showed us which button to push (and it really is just a button) and then counted us down to 7:30. And just like that we were part of the nightly chorus.<\/p>\n
