I’m at a loss as to how it has come to be Easter so quickly. Ostara itself flashed past me in a blur this year, leaving me with no choice but to mutter an apology well after we were far on in the calendar. I am never prepared when it arrives ‘early’, but one tends to lose track of time out here.
So I stood out on the bow in the wee small hours of the morning, listening to the interdominational music being played as the sun rose, and I thought of many things, fools and kings and love and life and different words that mean different things to different people.
I also thought that it was particularly cold weather to be standing outside in a halter dress, but that was an irrelevant thought.
Presence at the ceremony was voluntary, and I thought long and hard about participating, but it doesn’t hurt me or cost me anything to stand and hand out programs to people, and while I myself do not celebrate the religious aspect of Easter, I have every respect for those who do.
Whatever you may believe, whatever this season and this day may mean to you – even if it means nothing – may spring take up residence in your heart, my your days be scented with cherry blossoms and sea salt and your dreams with sunshine.
As I’ve said before..
God bless, Goddess Bless
Namaste
And all the rest..
Bright blessings and Happy Spring,
Shaughnessy
