When one has been at sea for 5 days running, one eventually becomes to tired to come up with words of wisdom to share with the minimal masses who follow their adventures.
I promise that there will be an upcoming entry about tonight’s gala Black & Gold Farewell Ball, that I will post some kind of photograph evidencing the mountains of returns flooding into my library with every passing hour.
But for now, I just want to take a moment in the insanity that is the last two days of my World Cruise experience, to wish everyone a Happy Easter, or perhaps just…Happy Spring. The ship celebrated Easter this morning with a sunrise mass for the those passengers who wished to attend, and so it was that I found myself pressed into service handing out programs containing the relevant scripture and copies of easter prayers. Those of you who know me well will be able to fully appreciate the irony of this situation.
But watching the sunset at the very least, and listening to the piano, reminded me that no matter what you believe, this is a special time of year. The world is waking up again, coming back to life after Her long sleep. Whether you follow Lady, or Lord, or a path all your own…may spring take up residence in the hollow of your heart, and chase away the shadows and chills so often brought by winter.
May you stay ever young, and always appreciate the smell of cherry blossoms and the tang of the ocean’s kiss.
And as the irish say: May the road rise to meet you and may the wind be ever at your back.
Bright Blessings,
Shaughnessy
