I am not, traditionally speaking, a violent person. I’m your basic tree-hugging, peace-loving near-hippy kind of girl. In actual real life, I would never raise a hand to anyone (probably because I know I’m not exactly strong, nor particularly brave and I’d probably just wind up getting myself knocked unconscious). But put me in a fantasy realm where it’s all graphics and pixels and no one is actually being bloodied?
HA! That’s different.
Hey, it’s a much safer outlet for aggression than some things!
It’s been a long time since I’ve been a gamer, and even when I used to play as a kid, I was never the world’s best at it, but I did used to play a lot with my Dad back in the day, and eventually I got good enough that I could wean myself off the invincibility cheat codes. But that was nigh on 15 years ago, and I’ve not really picked up a shoot ‘em up game since. So being introduced to C.O.D resulted in a lot of embarrassment at first, I mean 15 years? That’s a lot of rust to knock off…until somewhere around midnight last night I started to find my feel with the controls…
You little rat! Where the hell did you go?!
Told you big brother, the rat can run…she can’t always shoot, but she can sure as hell run
Yeah, no kidding…
See, much like in life, I can’t always hit hard, but once I figure out the lay of the land? I can run like the hounds of hell are on my heels. So your game indicator will tell you I’m one place and by the time you get there I’m already gone. Which, if I’m playing my cards right (and yes, if luck is on my side), allows me to come around behind you…
What the…seriously?
I told you, there was a time when I used to be good at this!
Out here? You really have to make your own fun…
Even if it does lead to painfully little in the way of sleep…
