If I were to go about my business all sparkle and glitter…quite apart from looking absurd, because despite what they write in those fairy books for children it’s quite an unsuitable costume for a grown woman….
Take one person, split her (metaphorically speaking of course), into four, have each of those four people doing about three different jobs, all of varying importance, all of which need to be done right now…and you have the last three days.
Overall, really, at least as far as the guests are concerned, things are going smoothly, but in the details of things – a lot of the team is new to the ship, or at least new to the GWV. So at the same time as doing my regular duties, I’m training my co-worker, advising my team-members (because I’m one of the few who’s been on board a while), assisting my internet managers, still trying to run my inventory, still working with IT, it rather seems like I’m running in ten million directions at once at the moment.
Not that that’s a bad thing really, I like to keep busy, but there is a limit to busy-ness. At the moment I hit the end of my day and am torn between wanting to collapse and needing to unwind.
Unwinding normally wins, “Game of Thrones”, embroidery (yes I sew), and the occasional chocolate bar are proving to be a God/dess-sent at this point.
But it’s all downhill from here, it always takes a while to work out the kinks, and in all honesty I am somewhat flattered that so many people trust me with so much responsibility…
At least, that’s what I keep telling myself..
And I believe it..
Really!
Well, you certainly behave like a princess.
Thank you..
