I should be doing considerably more than I am.
I mean, it’s not as if there’s not a lot to do. The house always needs help, and I have prep to do for the next contract which is barreling towards me at a rather startling pace. And yet I just can’t seem to find the energy…
I just…am. I’m finding I’m okay with that, as I don’t seem to get a lot of time to just sit in my own head these days. But that said I am starting to feel a little bit useless…

At the very least I should finish packing. Though I have at least started packing. Thankfully this is a light contract, mostly consisting of a 7 day repetitive run, that means a lot less on the packing scale. Four formals (two long, two short) and a few changes of clothes for the evening and the rest of the suitcase space is my own…at this point I have almost everything I need packed and the suitcase is only half full! That’s pretty cool actually, means a lot less weight and the potential of having room to bring things back if I need to. I mean I am, after all, finishing up this contract in Italy….
Though I do need to pick out a Halloween costume…though I suspect I’m kidding myself to think it won’t be Chesh…she hasn’t let me down yet!
This is always the strange in between time. Not quite in one world, not quite into the other yet.
And the longer I’m home…the less I want to leave…
