It’s been quite a while since I was home for the high season of Ghost Walks. Five shifts in a few weeks has me seriously shaking off some rust. I’m ashamed to say I’m out of practice…
And I’d forgotten just how busy downtown can get.
When Amras tagged along with me last week, he nearly had to play bouncer to keep me out of the way of at least one drunken stag party (me+ disrespectful drunks = baaaaad combo), and we had to bypass one stop altogether because it really wasn’t worth the trouble. Thankfully there are plenty of alternate routes in place so nothing is insurmountable.
But the craziness of downtown on a Saturday night does make me a little more self-conscious when I’m donning my blacks! I’m really little, but at least I can do my best to look the part…
Heh “I ain’t afraid of no ghost”
This is one of my last shifts for GW before I head back out to the line in two weeks. Since I’ve had such a long vacation my tour boss has been wonderful about finding me work, and to be honest it’s somewhat saved me as when I’m on vacation I’m essentially unemployed!
So, anyone who happens to be interested in some of the dark, creepy and ever so slightly unnerving back alleys and dark histories of my sugar n’ spice n’ everything nice li’l home town is welcome to come join me!
Just…check with me after, so I can make sure nothing follows you home….
